The BYD Denza Z9 GT Wagon: A Powerful Upgrade
The BYD Denza brand has unveiled the official images of its updated Z9 GT station wagon, a model that will continue to be available in both PHEV and BEV variants. The major upgrade lies in the powertrain system, with the BEV AWD variant boasting a combined system power output of up to 850 kW (1,140 hp) using three electric motors, a significant increase of 188 hp compared to the previous model.
The exterior design largely remains unchanged, with notable upgrades including the relocation of the lidar to the center of the front windshield on the roof, a new Fjord Green exterior paint, and the addition of a new blue indicator light to signal the activation of the onboard advanced driver assistance system.
The body dimensions stay the same at 5195/1990/1490 mm (l/w/h) with a wheelbase of 3125 mm.
The powertrain has also been enhanced. The PHEV variant features a 2.0T engine and three electric motors, paired with a 63.82 kWh battery pack, nearly double the capacity of the current model, resulting in a CLTC pure electric range of 400 km. The engine delivers a maximum power of 152 kW, the front electric motor has a maximum power of 200 kW, and the two rear motors each have a maximum power of 220 kW. The combined system power of the electric motors is 640 kW (858 hp), and the top speed is 230 km/h.
The BEV variant offers both RWD and AWD. The RWD version is equipped with an electric motor that has a maximum power of 370 kW (496 hp), a top speed of 240 km/h, and a curb weight of 2,700 kg. The AWD variant features a 230 kW front electric motor and two 310 kW rear motors, resulting in a total power output of 850 kW (1,140 hp) and a top speed of 270 km/h. In comparison, the existing AWD version had a combined power output of 710 kW (952 hp).
