It’s time to embrace a truly enchanting venue for your wedding: Disneyland's Haunted Mansion! This iconic attraction in Disneyland has long been a favorite among thrill-seekers and Disney enthusiasts alike. As visitors step through the foyer, they are greeted by a ghostly host who ominously warns, "There’s no turning back now." This phrase takes on a whole new significance starting this July, as Disneyland has revealed plans to offer the Haunted Mansion as a wedding venue for the very first time.
Imagine celebrating your love story surrounded by eerie elegance at this famous ghostly estate, all for a price tag ranging from $25,000 to $40,000 for use of the charming courtyard. "Couples today are increasingly seeking out unique destination weddings that tell a story reflecting their interests and passions," explained Korri McFann, the marketing director for Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings and Honeymoons. "The Haunted Mansion has always captivated fans, and we are thrilled to make their dream wedding a reality!"
However, there are a few important conditions to keep in mind. The ceremony can accommodate up to 25 guests, not counting the couple themselves, and weddings must occur before the park opens—an aspect that could pose challenges for timing. For example, on July 1, when the park opens at 8 a.m., couples will need to plan accordingly.
Disneyland has indicated that it provides minimal lighting for events held in this spooky setting. Yet, the theme park also offers some perks such as an officiant, transportation between the Disneyland Resort hotels, light decorations, and photography services.
Interestingly, Disney requires some form of entertainment for events at this location, although details about what this entails and any additional costs remain vague. Unfortunately, a representative from the wedding unit’s public relations team was not immediately available for further clarification.
The Haunted Mansion, which has delighted guests since its opening in 1969, recently underwent a year-long renovation, culminating in its reopening in January 2025. Enhancements include gardens redesigned with narrative elements and an added greenhouse to provide comfort for guests waiting in line. One notable character, a heart-wrenching bride, has received a modern upgrade; she now appears to float before guests while elegantly holding a three-pronged candelabra displayed via projector.
This new wedding offering is part of a larger celebration marking 35 years of Disney’s Fairytale Weddings and Honeymoons, with the company hinting at several surprise announcements throughout February.
Previously, couples had the option to tie the knot in various locations, including courtyards and ballrooms at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel, the ballroom at Disneyland Hotel, Fantasyland Faire Garden, or even in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle—though the latter could start at around $100,000.
