The Elite Company of Josh Allen
In a thrilling Week 15 game, the Buffalo Bills faced a daunting challenge, down 21-0 on the road against the New England Patriots. However, reigning MVP Josh Allen, soon to be a father, led an incredible comeback. With five consecutive touchdown drives, Allen tied Matthew Stafford for the most offensive touchdowns in the NFL this season (37).
But here's where it gets controversial... Allen has now achieved at least 35 touchdowns in six career seasons, joining the likes of Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, and Drew Brees as the only players in NFL history with such an impressive feat. And get this, 2025 is the third season where Allen has achieved 25 passing touchdowns and 12 rushing touchdowns, a singular achievement unmatched by any other player in NFL history.
Lawrence's Historic Performance
The Jacksonville Jaguars are on a roll, winning five straight and six out of seven since their bye week. In Week 15, they defeated the New York Jets 48-25, continuing their streak of scoring at least 25 points in a team-record seven consecutive games. Trevor Lawrence was the star of the show, throwing for 330 yards and five touchdowns, and leading the team with 51 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Lawrence made history as the first player ever with at least five passing touchdowns, one rushing touchdown, and 50 rushing yards in a single game. In the last 20 seasons, only Lawrence, Lamar Jackson, and Michael Vick have come close to this achievement, but with slightly lower passing touchdown counts.
Nix's Historic Winning Streak
The Denver Broncos trailed the Green Bay Packers in the third quarter of Week 15, but that's when Bo Nix and his team stepped up, outscoring the Packers 20-3 in the final 28 minutes to secure an impressive 34-26 win. This win marked their 11th in a row, tying Hall of Famers Peyton Manning and John Elway for the longest winning streak in a season by a Broncos quarterback.
Nix's performance has been nothing short of exceptional. He finished Week 15 with 302 passing yards and four passing touchdowns, achieving this feat for the third time in his career. Nix has joined an elite group, including Patrick Mahomes and Hall of Famer Dan Marino, as one of the few quarterbacks to have three wins with at least 300 passing yards and four passing touchdowns in their first two seasons.
Henderson's Elite Status
Even in a loss, Patriots rookie TreVeyon Henderson put on an impressive display with a pair of long touchdown runs in Week 15. Henderson, a second-round pick from Ohio State in 2025, scored on runs of 52 and 65 yards against the Buffalo Bills. With these runs, Henderson tied Saquon Barkley and Hall of Famer Lenny Moore for the most rush touchdowns of 50-plus yards by a rookie in NFL history.
Henderson's achievement is even more remarkable when you consider that he accomplished it in just two games. He is now tied for the most games with multiple 50-yard touchdown runs in NFL history, not just as a rookie but in any season or career. Barkley and Chris Johnson are the only other players to have achieved this feat.
